The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world's largest technical professional society. Founded in 1884 by a handful of practitioners of the new electrical engineering discipline, today's Institute is comprised of more than 320,000 members who conduct and participate in its activities in 147 countries.
Who are we ?
IEEE has student branches in nearly 1000-university worldwide. IEEE EMU student branch was established in January 1995 and currently has approximately 100 members from the Departments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Department of Computer Engineering as well as other related disciplines. It is the center of the information exchange between members of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering students in Eastern Meditterenean University.
